Part Three - Hayes, Scientology, And South Park
“On March 20, 2006, Roger Friedman of Fox News reported having been told that the statement was made in Hayes's name, but not by Hayes himself, as he suffered a stroke in January and has not been seen in public since. He wrote: "Isaac Hayes did not quit "South Park." My sources say that someone quit it for him. ... Friends in Memphis tell me that Hayes did not issue any statements on his own about South Park. They are mystified."“

So now we know the basic beliefs of scientology, and the story of the evil alien that threw kidnapped aliens into volcanoes. Yup.
And no, on to Isaac Hayes. He claimed he left because he couldn’t take them making fun of all religions. Not true. He couldn’t handle them making fun of HIS religion. Did he leave when jesus fought Santa, no!, Did he leave after Passion of the Jew? Nope! How bout after they made God look like a retarded animal hybrid? No way.
It’s like Matt Stone said “[We] never heard a peep out of Isaac in any way until we did Scientology. He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin. In 10 years and over 150 episodes of South Park, Isaac never had a problem with the show making fun of Christians, Muslim, Mormons or Jews. He got a sudden case of religious sensitivity when it was his religion featured on the show. He has no problem -- and he's cashed plenty of checks -- with our show making fun of Christians."
The "Return of the Chef" Episode
“The South Park season 10 premiere (aired March 22, 2006) featured The Return of Chef. The episode addressed the situation, using sound clips from Chef's past appearances. It depicts Chef as brainwashed by the "Super Adventure Club", and as a result, becoming a budding child molester. There are many striking resemblances between the Church of Scientology and the "Super Adventure Club" which is pulling Chef away from South Park using brainwashing. It is a thinly veiled telling of the Hayes/South Park break up story from the point of view of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who use the church/club metaphor to attack Scientology even more openly and harshly than in the episode that caused Hayes to leave.
The claims made in the first controversial Scientology themed episode of South Park are facts that the Church would like not to talk about but are true and mostly verifiable. The accusations made in The Return of Chef are more extreme and in some cases, rather exaggerated. The most notable of their accusations made by proxy though The Super Adventure Club, is their members' primary objective of engaging in sexual acts with children all over the world, and the contention that this practice made the founder of the Club immortal.
This may be seen as an indirect swipe at L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, who is widely alleged to have had paedophilic tendencies. The Church of Scientology claims that Hubbard, had learned how to transcend earthly mortality but chose to move on elsewhere in order to help other races and planets, but his method does not involve child sexual abuse and the Church openly condemns such practices. While the contents of high level Church documents and courses are not released to anyone other than members who are actively participating at those levels and are sworn to secrecy, no evidence has ever been made public that the Church
The episode ends with Chef choosing to stay with the club rather than returning to South Park and then dying a violent death. At his funeral Kyle urges the town of South Park to remember Chef as the jolly old version who periodically broke out into song, and tells them that they should not blame Chef, but rather the organization that brainwashed him for Chef's defection [ED: probably referring to scientology brainwashing Hayes.]. The final scene depicts Chef being resurrected in the image of Darth Vader by the Super Adventure Club.”
