Anyways, the teacher asked us what we thought of Online RPGs like.. ohh damn. Theres that one out that a few people play. The name slips my mind. Oh yes, you may have heard of it, it's a little known game called Warcraft. She asked us to write about the peoples whose lives are ruined by their "addiction" to these games. This lead to Crockers first rant in more than half a year...

It is my firm belief, that online games are not the causes of these peoples relationship problems, or the job loss. The causes are the people themselves., the only reasion these games are being blamed, is because, like everything else, it's just another thing for them to blame for their troubles. I'm very tired of hearing about how something as harmless as a video game is the cause of our problems. It is in most humans instinct to deny the blame to something else because they could not face the problems that their decisions are causing. I belive that organizations like Online-Gamers Anonymous are helping these pitiful people that are at this point looking for attention because they messed up, and they know it. There may be occasions that these organizations like OGA are almost 'brainwashing' some people into believing that it is not the person's fault, it was the evil corporations. Yes, of course, attack them for doing business. The truth of the matter is, if you lose a job or sginificant other, the fault can only lie with you, no one else. It was your choice to play your game instead of going to work, It was your choice to ignore family and friends for your game. I find this whole arguement sickening in a way, do not put the blame where it supposed to be.
